We love the Korsteel Stainless Steel Jointed Baucher Bit because it is often used by dressage trainers as a stepping stone to a full bridle.

The Baucher bit introduces the horse to mild leverage that the short cheeks apply to the poll, thus making the transition to a longer shanked curb bit in a double bridle less drastic.

• The arms of the Baucher and the fixed rings act to stabilize the bit and work in a very similar way to an eggbutt snaffle
• Offers consistent contact and preventing the bit from sliding through the horse’s mouth
• Ideal for horses that tolerate very little bit movement in their mouths
• The single joint applies a nut cracker action which applies pressure to the tongue, the bars of the mouth and the horse’s palate
